Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been on the receiving end of strong criticism after comments he made about Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta were leaked in a video that went viral this week.
Auba Mad Over Arsenal Exit? Chelsea Star Slams Arteta
Earlier this week, a clip emerged online of the former Gabon captain accusing his ex-manager of not being able to handle working with strong personalities, referring to his exit from the Gunners in January.
Aubameyang departed Arsenal halfway through last season in a free transfer to Barcelona following a fallout with Arteta, who had banished the striker from first-team training due to disciplinary issues.
Although he has since explained that the footage was recorded soon after his Gunners departure, suggesting he was still emotional about how things had panned out, ex-Italy striker Antonio Cassano believes Aubameyang has no right to criticise the Spaniard.
"Now Aubameyang is speaking as well," he told Bobo TV.
"He dares to say that Arteta doesn't know how to handle champions. Does Aubameyang consider himself a champion? But he doesn't know how to trap the ball.
"When Arteta took Arsenal, in a general disaster, there were many players among that and he was there too.
"Try to play football instead of talking about Arteta, who is first in the most important league in the world.
"For me, it's madness."
Aubameyang went on to Chelsea in the latest transfer window, and has scored three goals in his first five appearances for the Stamford Bridge-based club.
