Hazard Makes Real Madrid Admission

Belgium international Eden Hazard has made a big admission about his playing time at Real Madrid, having started just two matches so far this season.

The 10 Highest-Paid Players In 2022

Since joining the Spanish giants for a club-record fee in 2019, the former Chelsea winger has endured a series of injuries that have hampered his momentum and consistency over the past three years.

With just seven goals in 70 appearances for Real, Hazard is widely considered among the most high-profile transfer flops in recent memory, particularly considering the reputation he had when he became Los Blancos' No. 7.

Despite having been fit since the start of the 2022/23 campaign, the 31-year-old has been named in Carlo Ancelotti's starting XI on just two occasions, and has featured in just two more matches in all competitions.

Hazard has now admitted he is finding life difficult in Spain at the moment, and wants to be playing more.

"It's a delicate situation as I want to play more," he said, according to Marca.

"I feel good at Real Madrid, yes but I know what I can do when I play.

"There've been difficult times when I want to play and I don't play."

The Belgian featured in his country's 2-1 win over Wales in the UEFA Nations League on Thursday night.
