Reports suggest that Mauricio Pochettino could soon be back in a managerial hot seat, having attracted interest from a surprise club.
Real To Perform Shock U-Turn On Mbappe?
Having been let go by Paris Saint-Germain in July, Pochettino has been out of work for about two months. However, according to Foot Mercato, the Argentine tactician is set to hold talks with another Ligue 1 side in OGC Nice on Tuesday.
The French club is currently 13th on the log, with their off-season appointment of Lucien Favre having not gone according to plan. The Swiss has managed to help the team secure only two victories since arriving on the French Riviera, drawing four matches and losing another four since taking the reins at the four-time league champions.
With the international break now underway, the Nice hierarchy could see it as the perfect opportunity to bring in a replacement, with it being suggested that Favre's time at the Allianz Riviera might be coming to an end following their most recent loss, a 1-0 defeat to Angers.
Favre had taken over at Nice after Christophe Galtier had led them to a fifth-place finish in the 2021/22 season, with the latter's impressive performances subsequently leading to him replacing Pochettino as PSG's manager.
Now, in an obscure turn of events, it seems the ex-Tottenham Hotspur boss could be the next manager of Galtier's former employers.
Despite the big wages Pochettino commanded in the French capital, personal terms are not expected to be an issue for Nice.

The French side also recruited heavily in the latest transfer window, with the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Nicolas Pepe, Ross Barkley, and Kasper Schmeichel all arriving, and will be hoping, should his appointment be successful, Pochettino will get the best out of their new acquisitions.
