Stellenbosch FC head coach Steve Barker says his charges lacked a bit of quality after the 1-0 defeat to Kaizer Chiefs.
Makabi Lilepo's first-half header guided the Soweto giants to a 1-0 win over Stellenbosch at Athlone Stadium on Friday night.
The Winelands outfit, meanwhile, were not able to trouble Chiefs goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma for most of the encounter.

"Ja, obviously not at our best today, you don't play to your potential then you don't win football matches, so ja disappointed," Barker told SuperSport.
"It's also unfortunate a lot of players not available, injured but we need to be better if we want to win games, really disappointing. I think the effort was there but we just lacked sort of a little bit of quality in our play."
"It was difficult for the game to flow as well, every 50/50 it seems to go their (Chiefs) way, so it just didn't give us rhythm."
Stellenbosch will be back in action on Thursday evening when they take on Polokwane City in the Nedbank Cup round of 16.
