A former professional footballer, Bergman played for South African clubs such as Santos, Chippa United, and Stellenbosch FC.
His transition into coaching has been marked by impressive stints at development institutions, and his appointment at Sundowns signals the club's commitment to nurturing young talent.
The decision to bring in Bergman follows another strong season for Sundowns in the Gauteng Development League (GDL) U19 division.
The young Brazilians finished inside the top five, demonstrating the club's continued success at youth level.
With this appointment, Sundowns aim to build on their achievements and enhance the technical and tactical development of their aspiring footballers.
Bergman takes over from former Sundowns legend Surprise Moriri, who previously led the U19s.
His primary objective will be to maintain the club's dominance in youth football and ensure a steady pipeline of talent progressing to the reserve team competing in the DStv Diski Challenge (DDC).
