Mamelodi Sundowns are slowly working on trimming their squad and this will have a big effect on the players who are currently out on loan.
Sundowns have a squad of 37 players and they still have players out on loan, some of whom are hoping to return and fight for their respective places in the team.

Rushine de Reuck, Thembinkosi Lorch and Lebohang Maboe were the latest group of players to be sent out on loan by the Tshwane giants, joining the likes of Sipho Mbule, Ricardo Goss, Etiosa Ighodaro, Sifiso Ngobeni, Luvuyo Phewa, Thando Buthelezi, Siyanda Msani, Ismael Watenga and Thabang Sibanyoni.
Mbule has been impressing at Sekhukhune United and could get an opportunity to impress the technical team at Sundowns, but the Siya crew understands that he is attracting serious interest in the Betway Premiership. Sekhukhune want to keep him beyond this season and are willing to make an offer for a permanent move, while Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs are believed to be monitoring the situation, with the possibility of making an offer to Sundowns for the services of the former SuperSport United midfielder.
Ighodaro has been on loan since he was signed by Sundowns, never getting an opportunity to fight for his place at Chloorkop. The Nigerian striker has previously done well during loan spells at University of Pretoria, Chippa United and SuperSport United and is now a key figure upfront for AmaZulu, who will make a call on whether or not to make an offer to keep him beyond this season.
Goss is in his third season on loan at SuperSport, but his situation will be decided at the end of the campaign. His future, it's understood, depends on what will happen to the goalkeeping department at Chloorkop. As things stand, the futures of Reyaad Pieterse and Jody February have not been finalised by Sundowns and exits for both goalkeepers have not been ruled out. Should they leave, Goss could be recalled to be an understudy to Ronwen Williams.
The Siya crew understands that there is room for De Reuck to stay longer in Europe, having made a move to Israel, but a lot will depend on what happens in the next few months on the pitch. Should he return to the PSL next season, it's believed that his camp would look at other possibilities for him.

Lorch, meanwhile, is understood to be looking at a permanent exit from Sundowns. Coach Miguel Cardoso recently revealed that the former Orlando Pirates winger was not happy at Sundowns. The Siya crew has reported that Wydad are believed to be looking at keeping Lorch with a permanent deal at the end of the season.
Maboe is open to making a return to Sundowns and is hoping the next few months can convince the technical team at Chloorkop to give him a chance next season.
The Siya crew understands that the likes of Ngobeni, Phewa, Msani, Watenga and Sibanyoni will not form part of the team next season.
