They may be competing in the ABC Motsepe League, but Jomo Cosmos still have the pulling power when it comes to securing sponsorship deals.
The club announced a new partnership with Lucas Batteries, a product of VT South Africa, as their new partner at a press conference held in Sandton, Johannesburg, on Friday morning.

The sponsorship will run for a period of a year and a decision will be taken on whether or not to continue beyond this campaign.
Cosmos are heading into their third season in the ABC Motsepe League and, in this time, Sono believes they have learnt enough about the league to seriously fight promotion. Sono has never thought of buying his way back up to the top of local football as he is prepared to work hard and get Cosmos back to where he feels it belongs.
With the new sponsorship, they've got an opportunity to make this dream a reality.
"We had a plan. We were prepared to sacrifice two years in this league just to learn. We want to get rid of this notion and we go up and down. We planned that two years we are prepared to stay in the league and learn about it. I think now the players understand this league," Sono said to media.

"We are going to fight to go up because it's not easy. It's a very tough league. People think it's an easy league. It's not. There are a lot of things happening there which the media is not aware of because there is no media (covering the matches). Off the field is not a problem. It's on the field."
