Pirates Suffer Another Loss, Chiefs Remain Top!

Sekhukhune United 2-1 Orlando Pirates

Orlando Pirates lost for the third time in five matches after a 2-1 defeat to Sekhukhune United on Sunday afternoon at Isak Steyl Stadium.

Kearabilwe Mphahlele got the breakthrough for Sekhukhune on the stroke of half-time and Mphahlele doubled the lead for Babina Noko and completed his brace with 16 minutes remaining.

Pirates only pulled a goal back a minute later.

Mamelodi Sundowns 2-0 TS Galaxy

Mamelodi Sundowns bounced back to winning ways after a 2-0 win over TS Galaxy on Saturday afternoon at Giant Stadium.

Onele Rulwana broke the deadlock for Sundowns eight minutes before the interval and Bennet Mokoena secured the maximum points with the second goal in added time.

Stellenbosch 3-0 Cape Town City

Title contenders Stellenbosch made it five wins out of six games after drubbing Cape Town City 3-0 in the Western Cape derby on Sunday afternoon at Idas Valley Stadium.

Tauric Gamildien opened the scoring for Stellies midway through the first stanza and Mbunga doubled their lead on the hour-mark.

Cheswyn Philander sealed all the three points for The Maroons six minutes before time.

SuperSport United 2-0 Magesi

In-form SuperSport United climbed up to the top of the table after beating Magesi 2-0 on Sunday afternoon at Giant Stadium.

Following a goalless first stanza, Jabu Matsio eventually broke the deadlock for SuperSport just after the hour-mark and Pfunzo Ramunasi confirmed the three points with the second goal in the last minute.

Marumo Gallants 0-3 AmaZulu

AmaZulu ended their two-game losing streak after thrashing Marumo Gallants 3-0 on Saturday morning at Dr. Molemela Stadium.

Kwanele Mbayi gave Usuthu the lead moments before the interval and Bayanda Thabede made it 2-0 early in the second stanza.

Thato Matli put the game to bed for AmaZulu in the dying minutes.

Golden Arrows 0-1 Richards Bay

Richards Bay won their fourth game in five matches after a late and narrow 1-0 win over Golden Arrows on Saturday afternoon at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium.

After a goalless first stanza, Ntlonelo Bomelo got the all important goal for The Natal Rich Boyz four minutes before time.
