Baroka FC dismissed reports that there is a divide within the club, where one key staff member is influencing who the club signs or plays.
Siya sources close to the club indicated that there are unhappy figures both on and off the field, with regards to the influence of team manager, Lawrence Okwara.

The source said at the time, "There is a feeling that the club has lost good players and coaches because of the influence of the wrong people, and it's disappointing for many people there."
However, the club's spokesperson, Jimmy Ngobeni, has dismissed the claims. He explained that the coach is the one who decides on who is signed and who plays.
"According to us, everything is fine at the club. No individual person can influence the team, on who is coming and who is playing. The leadership decides on that, and the leader is the coach (Kgoloko Thobejane). The reports are damaging to the club and the club's integrity," explained Ngobeni.

Baroka are planning for the 2017/18 campaign, as the Limpopo-based side look to build on their inaugural PSL season. Thobejane will be pulling the strings from the bench as Bakgaga take their second bite at Mzansi's top flight.
