In-demand Polokwane City winger Oswin Appollis faces a bad history of lack of transfers to big clubs at City, after he could not move for the second successive transfer window.
Appollis has remained stuck at the Limpopo side since his breakout 2023/24 season.
The 23-year-old was expected to make a big move ahead of the current campaign but Rise and Shine owner Johnny Mogaladi has turned down multimillion-rand offers for the services of the Bafana Bafana attacker, both locally and on the continent.
The likelihood of Appollis being sold in the January transfer window even diminished compared to the winter window.

The Cape Town native winger would be worried looking back at the transfer history of Polokwane, who have transferred only a couple of players to the traditional big three clubs, since their inception in 2012.
Former winger Roger Majafa was the first Rise and Shine transfer to a big team after he was signed by Orlando Pirates in 2014.
City have not sold any other player to a big club since Sammy Seabi joined Mamelodi Sundowns in 2019, after he spent fours years at Polokwane.
City head coach Phuti Mohafe has came across as suggesting that Appollis could stay for longer at City if they have their way.
"As the technical team we're not ready to let him go, we're not even interested in bringing or modifying another Appollis in the team or a player who can replace him," Mohafe said on Metro FM Sports.

"We're just sticking to what we have, we're sticking to what he's giving us, what we need, so I think on that one is a matter of Appollis is here and we're not thinking anything else.
"He is playing in a team that is excelling, so why would you move from where you're excelling and where you're doing good? Yes there might other aspects he might be longing for but Polokwane City for me is the team for Oswin Appollis. Even for the long term I think we can't lose a player of his calibre and he can't lose a team of this calibre," Mohafe added.
City's outstanding players who did not move to big teams include former midfielder Jabulani Maluleke and striker Puleng Marema.
