Wits, fresh from a 3-0 defeat to Free State Stars, settled early despite the home crowd well behind their team.

The visitors broke the deadlock after five minutes, as as Elias Pelembe floated a brilliant free-kick into the penalty area, where Thabang Monare was on hand to head home, 1-0.

Siwelele picked up their game and were making good inter-changig passes, which delighted to the home supporters.

Celtic eventually leveled matters after 29 minutes. The move started with great attacking speed, with Musa Nyatama charging upfront to play a fantastic through ball for Nyondo, who fired past Darren Keet from close range, 1-1.

The game went into the half-time break logged at 1-1.

Five minutes into the second-half, Wits took the lead again to make it 2-1. as Mhango burst into the penalty area and unleashed a ferocious right footed shot into the left side of the goal, after combining with Eleazar Rodgers.

The Students seemed more determined after the goal and Celtic were constantly under pressure.

Mhango was the constant threat, running through the Celtic defence with pace and freely.

It seemed the goal took a lot of energy out of the Celtic side as they were running out of ideas and couldn't put strings of passes as they used to in the first-half.

Gavin Hunt's charges managed to see out the closing stages with relative ease to clinch the three points on offer.
