This came after the 56-year-old's candid interview with CNN, where they refer to him as Africa's Guardiola.
Despite being flattered by the comparisons between himself and the 50-year-old, Mosimane has played down the comparisons with the Spaniard, labeling it as an exaggeration.
"Thank you to all those who appreciate my work and philosophy or playing style (I call it my software). I think calling me Guardiola is a bit exaggerated, Pep is a legend and won lot of trophies," Mosimane wrote in response via his official Twitter account, which has been blowing up after he guided Ahly to the FIFA Club World Cup semi finals.

Perhaps Mosimane's comment comes across as a bit modest considering the number of trophies he has won in his various stints with SuperSport United, Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly.
The two have also shared company, where Mosimane took to Instagram depicting a conversation between himself and Guardiola, where they were definitely not discussing football.
