Adams' Replacement Arrives In Stellies

Thato Khiba was notably absent from TS Galaxy's training session on Tuesday, sparking speculation about his future at the club. Sources have confirmed that the 28-year-old midfielder is in the Cape Winelands, where he is expected to finalize a move to Stellenbosch FC.

This transfer is seen as a significant one for both clubs, as Khiba is being brought in as a replacement for Jayden Adams, who has recently made the move to Mamelodi Sundowns.

Khiba, a product of the Kaizer Chiefs Academy, has been a key figure for TS Galaxy this season, making 13 appearances across all competitions. Despite his solid contributions, it seems his future now lies in Stellenbosch, where he is expected to join a team that has been making waves in both domestic and continental competitions.

The move comes at a time when Stellenbosch has been building a squad capable of competing at the highest levels, having qualified for the CAF Confederations Cup quarter-finals in their first-ever appearance in the competition.

The 28-year-old midfielder is viewed as a valuable addition to the Stellenbosch squad. Khiba shares similarities with the recently departed Adams, particularly in terms of their playing style as central midfielders.

Both players are known for their vision, passing ability, and work rate. However, one key distinction is Adams' higher goalscoring output, a facet of his game that made him a standout performer at the club.

As Stellenbosch prepares for the next phase of their continental campaign, Khiba's arrival could provide much-needed depth and versatility in midfield.

His experience in the Premiership and his solid performances at Galaxy make him a reliable option for coach Steve Barker, who will be keen to integrate him into the team as they look to build on their impressive run in Africa.
