Chiefs Turn Their Attention To Young Africans Striker
In their ongoing pursuit to secure at least one striker by January, Kaizer Chiefs have turned their attention to a Yanga SC striker, the Siya crew has been informed.
The player in question is promising 20-year-old striker, Clement Mzize from Tanzania. Insiders close to the club and Mzize have indicated that Amakhosi are believed to have inquired about Mzize as a viable option if other targets fail to materialise.

According to sources, the strong working relationship between Yanga SC and Chiefs may facilitate this potential move, as the Glamour Boys are keen to reinforce their attacking line before the January transfer window closes.
"What they are looking at now is finding a solution. They have been looking at possibilities and most of them didn't work out due to financial issues involved in those strikers and with Clement (Mzize) the possibility of signing him are high compared to Fiston Mayele or Michael Olunga. That's why they have also turned their attention to looking at him. He is still young and although his value could be a bit lower, he can contribute massively to the goalscoring problems that Chiefs are currently facing. So he is their next target in the striking department," the Siya source stated.
A second insider highlighted how the good business relationship between Yanga SC and Chiefs could aid negotiations if the deal progresses.

"There is a good business understanding between Yanga and Kaizer Chiefs. And Chiefs are hoping that their counterparts would understand their plea of looking for a striker to help them this season and if Clement Mzize is that striker then I think they can talk about it and see how they can help each other. But yes, Chiefs have shown interest in Mzize and it will all depend on the talks between the two clubs," the second insider stated.
The Tanzanian international, who will soon turn 21-years of age, had joined Yanga in 2022 while still a teenager and has made significant contributions both in the local top flight and the CAF Champions League. He has scored goals in the Champions League in the last two seasons, proving that he can do it at the highest level on the continent. Mzize was also part of the Young Africans team that defeated Kaizer Chiefs 4-0 in the Toyota Cup earlier this year, where he scored the third goal.
Attempts to contact Chiefs and Yanga for comment were unsuccessful at the time of publishing this story. As Amakhosi continue to navigate the transfer market, acquiring Mzize could enhance their forward line. His proven track record and potential for growth make him an appealing option. With strategic negotiations believed to be underway, both clubs could benefit from a deal that addresses Chiefs' immediate needs while fostering a strong relationship.
