TS Galaxy To Play Bundesliga Club, Seal Player Transfer Partnership
DStv Premiership club TS Galaxy will face a Bundesliga club during pre-season as the club continues to grow its brand.
The Rockets announced on Tuesday morning that they are going to face Bundesliga outfit FC Augsburg. The two clubs are expected to meet in an annual tournament in July and the deal could see the German club signing players from the PSL outfit.
Galaxy, who finished sixth on the Premiership standings, have previously gone to Europe to test themselves against top clubs and now they will host the German side during pre-season to prepare for the 2024/25 campaign.
Augsburg finished 11th on the Bundesliga standings. It will be the first time the club is having a pre-season in Africa, showing just how much of a pull Galaxy have managed to have in bringing a club from the German Bundesliga to the country.
The experience Galaxy will gain in this match could put them in a good position for the new season, as they are looking to finish higher on the standings.
It remains to be seen if head coach Sead Ramovic will be in charge by the time they face Augsburg, as he has strongly been linked with the vacant job at Kaizer Chiefs.
