There were a couple of flare ups in the second half, but that all boiled over after the game where Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic seemingly clashed with a member of Sundowns' technical team.
When the post-match interviews were concluded, a police intervention was needed to separate the coaches and players before they headed down the tunnel.

There has been no love loss between the two sides this season, which has been evident by the war of words between Ramovic and Rulani Mokwena over the last few months.
Ramovic fired a little dig at Mokwena after the game, claiming they might need to buy Kylian Mbappe, Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi to beat Galaxy.
"If we can reach (top four), it will be for us just like we won the league, because if you see what financial power we have and what other teams have, especially Mr Sunshine with the troop here, this is hard work, this is coaching, this is quality and this is the highest education as a coach," Ramovic told SuperSport after the game.
"If they want to beat us again maybe they should buy Mbappe, Ronaldo and Messi, maybe then he has a bigger chance. If not then he has to take the highest education because this is what he doesn't have," he added.
