A PSL match official has been accused of swearing at a coach during one of the DStv Premiership matches this past weekend.
In Cape Town, after Swallows FC lost to Cape Town City 2-0 at the DHL Stadium on Sunday evening, away team coach Ernst Middendorp was displeased with some actions of the officiating from match referee Cedric Muvhali and his team.

Swallows finished the match with nine players after Keegan Allan and Bongani Sam were sent off from respective incidents.
The home team also had their own sending off after captain Thamsanqa Mkhize was sent for an early shower for a second bookable offence.
After the match, Middendorp was visibly irritated as he followed Muvhali through the tunnel and demanded answers for some of the decisions.
The experienced German mentor accused the match official of allegedly swearing at him.
"Is it not possible to give me a normal answer when I'm asking? Oh my goodness, where are we in these days? We can't ask anymore. I ask you politely, then you swear at me. Why are you swearing at me? I ask politely. Why is it not possible to answer a simple, easy, where are we in these days, polite question? Come on man!" said Middendorp, as the referee replied to say he should direct the questions to 'assistant coach', presumably referring to Musa Nyatama.

Meanwhile, during the post-match press conference, the experienced German mentor had this to say, "I asked the referee in the tunnel politely, I asked, 'What happened on the other side with the red card for Bongani?'. He started shouting at me straight away. It's obviously not allowed anymore to communicate with the officials."
