Kaizer Chiefs will take on Golden Arrows in the Nedbank Cup last 32 on Sunday.
The Nedbank Cup could be a chance for Amakhosi to add some silverware to their decorated Naturena trophy cabinet. Chiefs have not win a single major trophy since Steve Komphela took over in 2015, after Amakhosi had won a double, the league title and the MTN8. Since then, the Glamour Boys have found it difficult to add anything more under the mentorship of Komphela.
Supporters Club caught up with one of its members and Amakhosi supporter, Fancy, who expressed his opinion regarding Chiefs' run in the league and how he thinks the Naturena team will fare in the Nedbank Cup.
SC: Ola Fancy. Your thoughts on Chiefs' current league form? How far do you think they will go in the Nedbank Cup this season?
Fancy: The league is done and dusted, there's definitely no catching Mamelodi Sundowns. With the Nedbank Cup, it's a bit tricky, I can't say for sure how far they will go. Looking at the way Komphela lines up the boys, it's hard to tell. The thing is, with Komphela, he would rather defend than actually play attacking football. The way Chiefs play defensively, they might actually lose on penalties to Arrows.
