Orlando Pirates youngster Lyle Foster has attracted interest from French side Monaco. The promising 17-year-old was promoted to the Buccaneers' senior team by head coach Milutin "Micho" Sredojevic and has made four appearances so far. However, despite the striker's limited game time so far, many believe there is a lot still in store to come from the starlet.
The supporters have spoken out after news of the European interest in the young star broke, and most feel the team should be using his services, especially with the club's recent goal drought.
"The boy hardly kicks a ball in competitive PSL action and the lame excuse we get is that he is too young. Too young, my voet! FYI, Benni McCarthy was only 18 when he netted four against Namibia in the AFCON in 1998." – Flash Mabuza
"I don't understand Khoza and his team sometimes. Really. How on earth can you sell players, but your team is not doing well? I mean, we should be trying everything now since we have nothing to lose. We are down there, and we need every player's contribution to help the team, except for Gabuza and Gcaba." – Pirates_999
"Yet 'Micho' thinks that he is not good enough to play. Instead, they play Gabuza, who is the worst striker to play for Pirates. 'Micho' has been rebuilding the team with old players and excluding Foster in the process." – Pyton
Do you think Bucs should be using Foster more regularly?
