Amakhosi have confirmed that winger Kgaogelo Sekgota has parted ways with the club after a two-year spell.
Sekgota arrived at Amakhosi from Swallows ahead of the 2021/22 season, and featured 48 times, without scoring a goal.
The 26-year-old is understood to be edging closer to completing a move to another DStv Premiership outfit, Stellenbosch FC.
Here's how the readers reacted to the "Chiefs Confirm Departure Of Star Midfielder" story:
"I recall one Chiefs fan bragging about Sekgota on here, frothing about how Sekgota will toy around with defenders. Today Sekgota is calling it a day at Amakhosi," says His Majesty Yellow PSL Beast.
"Wishing you all the best. Your talent is needed somewhere else and will prove them wrong," says peter95157.
"Someone needs to investigate the relationship between Stellies and Chiefs because transfers between the two teams is usually fluid with no hiccups. Sekgota is going to fit right in with them," says sizweking.
"I'm a Chiefs fan and I second this one... Sekgota was just an overrated cow. Get us one striker and close the cheque book," says ghettovillage411.
"Letting KG leave is a serious mistake if not a big blunder. They will regret this big time," says user949915.
"Chiefs shall definitely win nothing in the coming seasons. They are doing what they did last season. This is starting from the scratch. Kgaogelo was the player who contributed to lot of their goals last season. They will have to groom another one of his calibre and how long will it take them?" asks matemane
"He is a diving specialist not star player," says Dominate-downs.
"Sekgota was good offensively compared to Mahlatse, so how could our team not noticed that the goals we scored were created by him? I bet Saile will never surpass six assists in a season," says kinglovistochaka994.
"Star midfielder? Are we talking about the same Sekgota we all know?" asks jabustone.
"Wowww... what a mistake," says khosilannete0.

"We forgave you girls for the silly goals you conceded in game one and two. Thanks for making us proud and showing the world that you can compete against the best the world has to offer," says elkat.
"Italian job complete. What a heist! What a patriot you are Thembi. Surely we can learn a lot from you, rea leboga," says user949915.
