Let's take a closer look...

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Molefi Ntseki says his players brought their 'A game' following their first win of the season and Ntseki's first as Chiefs boss.

Amakhosi came from a goal behind at the Athlone Stadium to defeat Eric Tinkler's Cape Town City 2-1, curtesy of goals from Ashley Du Preez and Edson Castillo.

Ntseki feels the victory was much-needed after a late defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns in the DStv Premiership and hailed each and every one of his players for the win.

Here's how the readers reacted to the "Ntseki On Chiefs' First Win: 'It Was Meant To Be'" story:

"Kaizer Chiefs supporters should trust the coach and stop calling the players all sorts of bad names, they should rally behind the team and stop being the enemy to their players.

"Players will find their feet and deliver, as coach Ntseki explained the situation is not simple to deal with low confidence players," says marcusmpulele.

"Nice win Amakhosi," says thamivutisanikhosa.

"The players don't look fit and they are making too many mistakes especially in the midfield," says blessingggcabashe9.

"A lot were saying we were going to lose. This is how humble pie is served," says sizweking.

"You're meant to lose in the semi's bro," says arriejacobs89.

"People are getting scared, well don't be, but keep in mind they need one more win and the moral of the guys will be back, bit by bit.

"As for our goalkeeper, I think something needs to be done. I don't think benching him will be good but the goalkeeper coach needs to work on him. He's got too many schoolboy mistakes and is putting the team under too much pressure.

"Or bench him and put Bvuma on while still looking out for Veli Mothwa. Seriously, because Khune is a has-been, no hard feelings," says userThautha.

Amakhosi's first win of the season came in dramatic fashion after a late winner from Venezuelan midfielder Edson Castillo, who scored his first ever goal for the club.

Castillo's winner sealed off a perfect come back for the Glamour Boys after an early goal from City defender Mark van Heerden.

Chiefs will now face Mamelodi Sundowns over two legs in the MTN8 semi-final and will hope to earn their chance at early silverware by reaching the final.

Here's how the readers reacted to the "New Signing Sends Chiefs To MTN8 Semi's" story:

"I think going foward, Coach Ntseki is going to use Mdu Mdantsane, Maart and Castilo with Mdantsane pushing more behind the striker and Castillo as a box-to-box.

"The only problem is the keeper. He can do everything right but him being casual will cost the team. Otherwise, I see a different season at Naturena," says marcusmpulele.

"Mdantsane needs to up his game. I know it's still early days but he really needs grab the chance given to him with both hands," says Zohlah.

"Castillo is a good passer of the ball. Chiefs got themselves a gem in him," says Shikabala.

"Congratulations Khosi Nation, I hope for consistency in the team, truly speaking I don't want to put my hopes high, one game at a time.

"We still have problems at the back, we need someone younger at our left back, Hlanti is growing old now," says mahlodiamphela.

"They must win the coming league games to garner up confidence and gain momentum. Or else, Sundowns is going to bury them," says kthulani781.

"We are not there yet but we're promising. Amakhosi for life!" says T.sibiya.

"Chiefs should have won by 5 goals. Chances from Potsane and Saile, who also failed to connect with Mdantsane that was free in the box.

"They are slowly getting there. They must change this building from the back, Sundowns are good at pressing in that situation," says Soccer Fanatic.

"This building from the back has hurt a lot of teams both here and abroad. To me this is just a soccer version of manna from heaven.

"Gifts gifts gifts. If any team has the guts to employ this freebies kind of football, they should at least start it from the wing back positions not through the centre backs," says gsithole.

"Congratulations to Chiefs. Now give respect to your opponents for the semifinals. And also respect your opponents for the final if you get there," says msanisto.

"Good results but not exciting play at all," says oupa.ramodula.
