Let's take a closer look...

Mamelodi Sundowns are said to be interested in re-signing Al Ahly's Percy Tau, who has one year left on his current contract.

Siya sources have indicated that the only stumbling block for the move to materialise is Tau's contract with the Egyptian giants.

Sources indicated that Al Ahly have the upper hand in this issue such is that if Tau wanted to leave, it would be hard for him to do so before his contract expires - unless a European team comes for him.

The current CAF Champions League holders are eager to keep the Bafana Bafana star beyond 2024. Although Downs have resources to buy Tau out of his current deal, it could be smarter for them to wait until his contract expires next year.

Here's how the readers reacted to the "Sundowns' Move For Percy Tau Doomed?" story:

"So Chiefs have a huge budget for salaries but not for buying players. They should get a financial manager who would help them balance the two.

"As for the salaries, we are even not sure of that. In SA, salaries and contract details are confidential," says oupa.phiri27.

"Why involve Chiefs in your team's matters? One would swear you getting R10 000 to be rambling," replies mthembinkosi46.

"But they said Sundowns get any player they want. Were they lying?" says khosilannete0.

"Who said that is it Motsepe or Sundowns' management? I don't remember hearing that from Sundowns," replies bhekilekhuleni6.

"Sundowns have so many players and must leave Tau alone," says Rio Da Khosi.

"Even if they leave him, Chiefs can't afford him," says Saavedra.

"Actually Chiefs pays better than all PSL teams," replies BrutuswamaJuju.

"If there's any player better than what you have, you sign them , irrespective of how many you have. That's how you stay on top," says Zitro(Still yellow).

Orlando Pirates played out a 1-1 draw away from home against Chippa United on Tuesday night at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

Bucs went ahead in the first half curtesy of Bandile Shandu and conceded an equaliser to loaned-out midfielder Goodman Mosele, who came back to haunt his parent club.

Riveiro said his charges were predictable on attack at the beginning and found things difficult in the second-half, where they failed to capitalise on crucial chances.

Here's how the readers reacted to the "Riveiro: We Were Not At Our Best Against Chippa" story:

"UP THE BUCS! We win, lose or draw, it's part of the game. We've been watching this game long enough to know that. Complains will hurt you more," says Jakes74.

"Now he's talking about the low block. Wasn't he the one who said that he has a strategy to unlock a low block after the defeat to Stellenbosch.

"This coach does not have a plan B. The only thing he knows is letting players run on the field. He's poor in planning for technically sound teams," says tthembs01.

"Coach shut up and get your act together, we don't want any excuses this season," says @ThizaK.

"These people were jumping up and down after their 5-0 win laughing at Downs' 1-0 win, forgetting that goal difference doesn't count in a cup. You win 10-0 or 1-0 it makes no difference, the bottom line is you are through to the next round, goals are needed in numbers in a league game, now their coach is coming with stories.

"Dololo goals where it matters most, and you still believe you will challenge Downs? Just wondering," says Mabaleng1.

"The next thing he will say is that he doesn't know how his team fell behind by 15 points to Downs," says pgyakeni.

"So actually, there's no difference between Mammila and the Spaniard who came here highly recommended and Mammila has zero qualifications!! Wow what a rip off by the plumber," says userThautha.

"Sundowns is winning the league and we keep on watching them. My trust has gone, we are behind Sundowns by 5 points now and we cant beat them shem," says tshavhuyoh.

"No joy this time around and I believe that there'll be less interviews? You were becoming some sort of a media darling and you were talking like you've won the league already," says INBOX VAT ALLES.

"Joh how could this coach not have a striker in the subs? Where are the new signings? Yoh, if you lose and draw away games, don't expect to win the league. No ways," says arriejacobs89.

"We were not at our best? Why is that coach? Management has given you the best players and you struggle to beat teams like Chippa? No man! I'm tired of chasing Sundowns," says tbsafrica.

"He traveled with a weak side, I questioned why would you charge a winning team with no injuries? Mako was fully fit, why bring Hotto when Maela is also available. You're putting too much trust in Mofokeng, he is too young to shoulder all of this.

"The team is ready to fight and everyone has a roll to play and players need to wait for their turn. You can't chop and change even when there's no need and we are winning games. If yesterday's 11 was yours, then you are the problem couch. What were you fixing? An inconsistent team will deliver inconsistent results. I'm not happy.." replies lungelo.cbc.
