Orlando Pirates head coach Jose Riveiro has responded to criticism aimed at Evidence Makgopa and reminded supporters that they used to jeer Terrence Dzvukamanja before he went on a good run of form and became a favourite in the second half of last season.
Pirates fans started losing patience with Makgopa as they whistled for his substitution during their 1-1 draw to Polokwane City last Friday.
Riveiro says they will continue to give Makgopa support and that its important for the Spanish coach and his staff to take good care of the young players coming into the team.
The Bucs coach does admit that as a professional, Makgopa has to be able to handle the heat, but backs him to find his way as he rates the former Baroka striker as a good player.
Here's how the readers reacted to the "Riveiro on Makgopa: Remember The Dzvukamanja Boo Boys" story:
"Remind them my coach, we need a tall striker like Makgopa to deal with high balls and I know he is going to improve as long as he is given game time. Remember, the guy was doing well at Baroka in the same league, it's not like he was promoted from the DDC team to the first team
"If Sundowns can give Mendieta game time, even when he is not performing well, why not us?" says Fair Comment.
"The honeymoon phase is over, he'll be leaving the stadium in a Nyala too," says Shikabala.
"I agree with you coach, as supporters we must encourage and motivate our players," says lungisa.bokwana.
"No coach, it seems like you are the one who can't handle the heat here, you're clearly running out of ideas, you don't even have a consistent starting 11 and its starting to annoy us big time," says @ThizaK.
"Annoy us? Speak for yourself baba. I for one love the coach and appreciate his work. He knows what he's doing because he works with these players everyday.
"It is insane to tell him who to play and when. Even your life is not perfect but you want to tell someone about their work life," replies Onside.
"If it's your opinion, then don't say 'us' unless there's many you. I respect your opinion because I also have mine," replies juicecpeter.

According to the Siya Crew, Kaizer Chiefs could be working on bringing in former player Njabulo Blom on a short-term load until the MLS season recommences in March next year.
With the MLS currently in its off season after the regular campaign ended in mid-October, some players in the MLS do tend to get loaned to other league around the world during this period.
Siya sources have indicated that Amakhosi may feel they need the services of Blom and give the player some game time ahead of Bafana Bafana's AFCON campaign, kicking off in January.
Here's how the readers reacted to the "Chiefs Looking To Bring In MLS Player?" story:
"So Blom would be able to be registered with the PSL outside the window period? Just because he is Blom?" asks siyaz.
"Nah, I would rather he go play in the Championship in England," says Charles Manyike.
"Why don't they get a coach? This team is a joke," says Saavedra.
"It would be unfair to the technical team and players playing in his position. If we talking about consistency, we can't bring in a player for only 5 months. We are already struggling with confidence and esteem, so what does that mean for a player like Samkelo Zwane?" says ghettovillage411 who adds:
"Chiefs should give that youngster a chance that was given to Blom, so he can spread his wings because he's the future. Imagine having Maart, Castillo, Mthethwa, and Zwane in a similar position which even Sithebe can play...
"He can train with the team for fitness but signing him on loan is a no-no," concludes ghettovillage411.
"You are 100% right mfethu, we've got four players in that position now our team wants another player who play in the same position. If it was up to me, I would go with Samkelo Zwane, Castillo and Matlou in the center of the field. That Zwane boy is a good player, it's just that our coaches don't believe in him," replies mlekeleli.
"Yeah that will benefit both parties, imagine a player of Blom's caliber waiting 5 months without playing competitive football," says khosilannete0.
"Chiefs bosses are screwing us up why would they bring a defensive midfielder, why don't they just loan Messi or any tried and tested forward, or even Mailula," says musakhulus1214.
