Orlando Pirates star Thamsanqa Sangweni's future at the club remains uncertain. As reported in last week's edition of Soccer Laduma, issue 1061, Sangweni could see his stay at Mayfair come to an end.
Although Bucs are yet to make a decision on the midfielder's future, it has been reported that a possible move away from the club could be on the cards for Sangweni.
One of our members, Siya Ngcolosi, has reacted to the news and shared words of encouragement for the 28-year old.
"Well, Sangweni's situation is quite normal. Let me refresh you a little bit: remember how Yaya Toure was influential at Manchester City before the Guardiola era? Well, somehow Sangweni has few similarities with Toure. We can agree to disagree, they are both not so quick on the ball, they hold the ball too much and sometimes Sangweni can be too casual. Again, Micho likes a pressing game with players playing high-tempo football, same as Guardiola's style of play. Toure was dropped to the bench because he somehow didn't deliver according to the coach's plans. Same as Sangweni. I can name a lot of players who have had this problem. So it's normal for a player to not be in the coach's plans. Otherwise, Sangweni is a great player with massive ability." – Siya@ngcolosi pKT
Do you think it would be a wise decision for Pirates to release Sangweni?
