It appears Orlando Pirates might have to wait a bit longer for the much-anticipated debut of their striker, Augustine Mulenga.
The Buccaneers' official website announced that the Zambian-born player will miss this weekend's game against Chippa United and could be out for a period of weeks as he injured himself during training.
Although the cause of the 27-year old's injury has been made clear and confirmed by the club, Supporters Club members created banter on the situation and some have even taken shots at Bucs long-term serving striker, Thamsanqa Gabuza.
Our members jokingly suggested that perhaps "Gandaganda" might have injured Mulenga for his own benefit.
"Gabuza has a hand in this, he intentionally injured the threat hanging above his empty head."- majenz
"He might pop out on the bench. You will never know, mind games are also part of the game. Anyway, we are doing well, so no stress, we will see him when he is ready."- Bongz4bucs..
"What an embarrassment, he injured himself."- Skhokho-se-khosi
"This striker injured himself whilst trying to shoot in an awkward angle. No one tackled this player, meaning defenders shouldn't worry much about him."- Mtwesi
