Orlando Pirates confirmed in an official statement that they've completed the signing of attacking midfielder Karim Kimvuidi.

The Buccaneers won the race for the Congolese's signature, with the player also being chased by MLS outfit DC United.

The 21-year-old is the second Pirates signing this week after Lesedi Kapinga, who joined from Mamelodi Sundowns.

Here's what the readers had to say on the "Breaking: Pirates Announce Kimvuidi Signing" story:

"We're now covered in every department, now let the games begin," says @ThizaK.

"Can't wait for the season to start. It seems like this one is going to be more exciting," says Snowman.

"Wow, that boy is talented. Top, top quality," says Msiphos.

"Pirates (are going to) be very, very strong. Looking at their squad composition, hayi, it's trouble. It's a much more improved squad. At the level Pirates were playing last season, with the addition of Kapinga and Kimvuidi, it's a big headache. Well done!" says Mthunzijack7.

"Pirates will be a force to be reckoned with in the new season to come," says Matemane.

"This player reminds me of Okonko. But he is much better than Okonko because he carries the ball forward, a forward minded midfielder. Him, Timm, Kapinga, Saleng, Ratomo and Lepasa, that will be a strong, good attacking squad," says Mzizimike25.

"Whoever is currently signing players at Pirates was a missing link at the team," says Jkola who added:

"Pirates signed a good player, but I think the coaches need to polish him up here and there."

"Personally, I am not convinced that he will make the grade. I think he is too slow and adds nothing when the team is under pressure. But I hope he proves me wrong," says Msanisto.

"He's got a tendency of losing possession in his half and then the team gets easily punished, he is good but slow and not yet ready. I foresee a loan out for a season or two," says Sibo.mthembu.

"Welcome boy, let the season start already can't wait," says @Normz.

"He is a good player but he is a duplication of Kapinga. The difference is that Kapinga is more accomplished than him," says Oupa.phiri27.

"I thought since our coach won two cups in his first season, the pressure will not be too much on him, but with the players they've signed for him, it means he needs to do better than last season or at least defend his cups," says Fair Comment.

"We are now covered, let the games begin and let it rain goals. Up the Bucs," says DSELLO.

"Good signing this one. Pirates may just be able to compete with Sundowns for the league trophy," says Makhause(2).

Molefi Ntseki has responded to critics who are not convinced by his appointment as Kaizer Chiefs' head coach.

It's been just under a month since Chiefs announced Ntseki as Arthur Zwane's replacement, but his appointment wasn't met with fanfare, with a faction of Chiefs supporters questioning his stint at Bafana Bafana head coach.

Ntseki says he's grown used to the criticism of supporters since becoming a coach 25 years ago and questions whether he's receiving some flack due to being South African.

Here's how the readers responded to the "Ntseki: Maybe It's Because I'm South African" story:

"Point of correction Mr Ntseki, Chiefs fans don't love local coaches, don't say South Africans," says Pgyakeni who added:

"But also, how can you sign Potsane, Dithlokwe and Mmodi and expect to build a formidable team, I mean the players are just average to be honest and none of the PSL teams will even feel their impact."

"It is better to have him than the unknown coaches from Europe who cannot find jobs in their homelands," says MD007.

"He will take them to relegation," says Saavedra.

"I'm a Pirates fan but the Motaung's are testing the patience of their supporters," says Mafezwe.

"Prove them wrong, don't talk too much, just gather your players and tell them that no one believes in you and them, so let us show them that we deserve to be here by at least wining one cup. Then u can take it from there.

"That's my advice coach. I've been in your situation before where no one believe in me, but I proved them wrong by doing what they think I was not going to be able to do it. It's your time Mr Ntseki, make us proud and let us believe in our team like we use to do. Khosi for life. I'm giving you all the support you're going to need," says Mlekeleli.

"Ntseki shouldn't be in a position to entertain distraction, He is supposed to place attention on building a competitive team to silence doubters," says Tekhens.
