Rulani Mokwena enjoys an impeccable record since he was made sole head coach last year, but should his tactics come under questioning after a penalty shoot-out loss to Orlando Pirates in the Final.
There has been suggestions that Mokwena may have gotten his substitutions wrong against the Soweto giants, removing key platers towards the end of regulation time and extra-time, including Peter Shalulile.
Mokwena says he takes full responsibility for whatever that might have done wrong for Sundowns in the Final that he's the first to put his hand up and accept the blame.
One of the criticisms aimed at Rulani, is that he didn't have the proper foresight of the possibility of a penalty shoot-out, which they lost 3-1.
Here's how the readers reacted to the "Rulani Blamed For Missed Penalties" story:
"We are behind you coach, the only thing that's required is that the Technical team as a whole must learn to plan for knockout games, it's more of a project management thing, whereby the deliverables have to be achieved in a short period of time.
"Also our players have some sort of stage fright syndrome, which requires a specialist so that they can be fearless, otherwise we will sing the same story again in Africa," says pgyakeni.
"MTN tickets get sold out within 18 hours and most of the supporters at the stadium were Pirates fans. Lucky Lekgwathi said it," says Yellow dawana.
"When I looked at the team sheets, I actually thought Sundowns was thin on the bench. That amazed me a lot. And I think the Pirates coach realized that also and that he had a great chance to win the game if it went to extra time and penalties.
"Hence the plan was always to stretch Sundowns, so that they get tired," says msanisto.
"Hands OFF our coach, we don't blame him. Well done coach Rulani, you know what you are doing and we trust you. You substituted as you saw fit.
"All big teams must cross this bridge to completely dominate. Congrats Bucs, always a pleasure to play against you," says SkyBY.
"I think Mokoena is still a novice when it comes to coaching. Let's just give him a chance, he will learn and grow. He should just tone down in talking too much to the media. He still has a lot to learn. But as a Pirate, I am happy to retain our title, Up the Bucs," says oupa.phiri27.
"I, as a Downs supporter am grateful to the Motsepe family for giving him this opportunity. We all have our opinions, which is fine, but Mokwena has done wonders with his limited experience in fact better than the well travelled coaches and for this reason, I salute him," says sakhilem9.
"To tell the truth, Orlando Pirates are more used to penalties than Sundowns and Sundowns are used to 90 minutes games, not extra time, so that killed them altogether for not having a plan b," says Weissel A.

The fixtures for the brand new Carling Knockout Cup competition have been confirmed, following the draw which took place in Johannesburg on Tuesday.
This new competition by the Premier Soccer League and Carling Black Label replaces the Telkom Knockout, with all 16 DStv Premiership teams included in the competitions.
The new-look tournament veers away from last year's one-day tournament that featured the Soweto giants, AmaZulu and eventual winners Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Carling Knockout Cup sees the top eight teams from the 2022/23 season receive a seeding, meaning they couldn't meet in the first round of knockouts.
This tournament is set to kick-off later this month, with the final taking place on 16 December:
