Newly acquired Orlando Pirates striker, Augustine Mulenga, has spoken about his ambitions as a Buccaneer, after the Soweto giants added the highly rated striker to their roster during the January window transfer.
The 2017 Zambian Footballer of the Year has set his sight on CAF Champions League glory with Bucs. In his statement on the club's official website, he also revealed that playing for Pirates is a dream come true for him, as the Ghosts are a team he supported as a child.
Although the 27-year-old has been well received by most Bucs faithful, some have different opinions. Some believe that the Zambian-born striker could have difficulties adjusting in the PSL.
See what some of the supporters have to say below:
"I hope (Irvin) Khoza knows what he's doing, not just signing the players for the sake of adding numbers. PSL is no child's play, it took (Bernard) Morrison a year or more to find the back of the net and (Yannick) Zakri struggled like nobody's business. PSL is a strong league, only soldiers like (Knowledge) Musona and (Collins) Mbesuma succeeded in this league."- PHAZAMISA AKA NGOZI THE RETURN
"At least you have good ambitions winning the league and CCL and playing continental football unlike players who came to win Beer Cup, Maize Cup and Macufe Cup. The likes of Katsavairo and Chirambadare, now they're bench warmers and out of contract."- SowetoBOY
Which other players from African neighbouring countries can you think of that were successful in the PSL?
