Kaizer Chiefs secured their first win of the DStv Premiership season after thrashing AmaZulu 3-0 at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.
New signings Pule Mmodi and Edson Castillo were among the goals with the latter bagging a brace and another newbie, Tebogo Potsane proved instrumental in both of Mmodi's goals.
Molefi Ntseki will now focus their attentions to the dangerous Stellenbosch FC on Wednesday night at the Athlone Stadium.
Here's how the readers reacted to the "New Signings Shine As Chiefs Secure First League Win" story:
"Ntseki is a poser. Chiefs will have divided opinions the whole season," says makhause(2).
"Yes, I'm a Khosi fan but I can't judge with this win, I need four wins in-a-row, then I can say we are starting on it," says peloj.
"One game at a time Khosi," replies peloj.
"We really needed something like this to boost our ego and yes let's hope if we win on Wednesday, then it will be good for boosting the team's moral before taking on the midgets," says userThautha.
"I don't know how we won it. No combinations, no communication, bad passes, losing the ball cheaply, still struggling to win 50/50 balls, defence still horrible and we've been saved by the keeper.
"I still maintain that Hlanti and Maart must be benched. Never play Maart with Castillo. Ask the players to fight when not in possession. Also ask them not to rush, protect the ball, rotate it when in possession. Ask Saile to use his speed wisely like Du Preez," says PAPZEN4LIFE.
"It was a great result from the Khosi Nation. Hopefully, there's still more results of this nature to come. Khosi I remain," says ncwanesizwe15.
"Amakhosi ajabulile," says T.sibiya.
"Chiefs is going to lose both home and away MTN8 games against Sundowns, yes they won but you cannot see what they are doing. Unless they bring in Khune, Solomons, Dolly and Dove because I don't think Hlanti will handle the speed of Sundowns' forward players," says Fair Comment.
"Chiefs is benefiting from the speed of Du Preez. It is this reason that they struggle to score when he's not playing," says matemane.
"It was a good morale booster for Chiefs ahead of their game against Sundowns. Good luck," says raditselalouis.
Read: Ntseki Delighted For Mmodi As Chiefs 'Calm The Storm'
Chiefs head coach Molefi Ntseki was delighted to see Pule Mmodi getting onto the scoresheet against AmaZulu.
Ntseki also feels Chiefs' win over Usuthu has 'calmed the storm' after last week's shock defeat to TS Galaxy.
The ex-Bafana boss went on to praise his side for putting in a solid shift and further expressed his joy over Mmodi scoring by mentioning that the player has been through a lot lately.
Mmodi recently lost his mother, which impacted the start of his season as he missed the club's first game of the campaign against Chippa United.
Here's how the readers reacted to the "Ntseki Delighted For Mmodi As Chiefs 'Calm The Storm'" story:
"It is promising but taking too long. Things to do; improve starting play from the back, sharing of ball going forward. creating scoring opportunities, keeping the ball, having a playmaker, getting the keeper to punch the ball instead of palming it to oncoming opposition players.
"Also improve passing the ball amongst players, improve on targets, Maart, Hlanti and Kwinika to be serious, Mmodi to improve stamina and have a solid structure," says Soccer Fanatic.
"There is no storm, that's by any wildest of imaginations calm, Kaizer Chiefs needs a lot of work, both on and off the pitch.
"AmaZulu is a weak team currently, we can't be celebrating wins over small teams given the stature of a team like Kaizer Chiefs, we refuse to be drawn by mediocrity, Ntseki understandably doesn't have bigger dreams or ambitions as a coach with rich history would, that's why this has come much to his delight," says Sir_Zovic.
"Even against Sundowns, I don't think #KCFC performed badly, it's just that the Ref his assistant were not spot on," says khosilannete0.
"If you are being honest and commenting objectively, you will agree with me that against Downs, Chiefs were very bad in the first half and became slightly better in the second half. And in fact, I don't think the performance was impressive, but the score line might be bit flattering," replies Downs rule.
