Let's take a closer look...

The Siya crew's close sources have revealed that Kaizer Chiefs head coach Molefi Ntseki is considering handing Itumeleng Khune his first start of the season.

Ntseki has entrusted Brandon Peterson with the number one slot in Chiefs' opening games of the season, and has conceded four goals in the process, including unfortunate mistakes against Sundowns and an own-goal on Sunday against TS Galaxy.

As Amakhosi prepare to face AmaZulu this weekend, an insider informed the Siya crew that Ntseki could look to re-introduced his 36-year-old skipper, who could be in his final season at Chiefs.

Here's how the readers reacted to the "Insiders: Ntseki Considering Khune Return" story:

"Let us be fair, the problem is not the goalkeeper. We don't create and score goals. Games are won by scoring goals. If we had scored one or two, would wouldn't mind a 2-1 win.

"The goalkeeper has done well so far, soccer is a game of errors as well," says eric.ncube.

"Didn't Zwane try this last season already? How did it workout for him? The Chiefs management, technical stuff and supporters are holding on to the memory of the player Khune once was and don't wanna accept that that player is long gone," says Supreme.

"You can't build from the back with cows Mr Omo. That's your downfall. I understand that you are trying to copy whatever Sundowns is doing," says Saavedra.

"Not too sure if that will make a difference, but that again is exposing Ntseki as a coach. How is he failing to notice that Maart is failing dismally to make the team play. How is he failing to notice that Hlanti is not offering the team anything offensively.

"Sithebe hardly touches the ball because he is forever hiding. I see Sundowns having another easy run to the title, unless something drastic happens, which is unlikely," says Downs rule.

"Bring Itu back against Downs please," says INBOX VAT ALLES.

"We're playing with two defensive midfielders in Castillo and Maart. What happened to Shabalala and Ngcobo, who used to be our playmakers.

"They're on the bench now, If we had Mdantsane, Ngcobo, and Shabalala in our attack, we would be watching something better than what we're seeing now.

"As for our center backs, both are new but are well put together," says xrhino9.

"Even Khune will concede as long as there is Maart. Chiefs must buy someone who is going to connect defenders and strikers. It will take time for Potsane and Mmodi to adjust to Chiefs' philosophy," says Soccer Fanatic.

"Khune is over 40, just rest him and don't throw him in the deep end," says user250737.

"They should consider Middendorp too," says Shikabala.

"That's a good idea, let's hope for the best, for the past four games you didn't see the need of changing your favorite goalkeeper (Brandon) after costing the team," says sandiledhlamini90.

"Bringing Khune back will be a sign of desperation and it will surely backfire," says makhause(2).

"Bring him back already... that Brandon boy behaves like he's still in kindergarten," says NickNaks.

"Khune's experience is needed now," says emnontheone430.

"Maybe wisdom but not physical agility. We'll kick the balls behind the defense Maseko will run, Madala will be late. Don't say I didn't tell you," replies His Majesty Yellow PSL Beast.

It appears that Thulani Serero won't be returning to South Africa or link up with Pitso Mosimane at Al-Wahda in the UAE Pro League.

The 33-year-old is reportedly closing in on a move to Khorfakkan after leaving Al-Jazira, who decided against renewing Serero's contract.

It's understood that talks between Serero and Khorfakken are at an advanced stage, with the experienced Bafana international set to extend his 13-year-long period overseas.

Here's how the readers reacted to the "Serero Closing In On New Club" story:

"So, Serero decided to say Khorfakkan to Chiefs," says Wild.Dog.

"His stock has declined over the years, I wish he got a good club and not just stay overseas because its overseas. Pitso would have been a good option," says Charles Manyike.

"Money Talks, especially at this juncture in his career," says Bamjee.
