On Saturday, February 24, the Tshwane Derby graces our screens as ABSA Premiership log leaders, Mamelodi Sundowns are set to host rivals SuperSport United.
This derby is perhaps more significant than games between the two sides in recent history. With all to be played for, for both teams, the question remains – who will come out at the top?
One player that will be hoping to add his name to the scoresheet is Masandawana forward, Jeremy Brockie. The former Matsatsantsa a Pitori lethal talisman recently spoke out about facing his former employers and pointed out that it would be great to get the ball into the back of the net for his new team.
Supporters Club members had this to say:
"Morning fellow bloggers! I will be happy if Jeremy Brockie scores, but what is important now is for us, Downs to collect those three points. Jeremy will score, he mustn't put unnecessary pressure on himself. We (the), fans, know what he can do when he's at his best. So, I'm not really worried about Jeremy, I'm worried about our setbacks but we will prevail." - Khaya Shozi
"So, how do you expect to score against Morgan (Gould) and (Clayton) Davids while you failed to score against grandad (Rooi) Mahamutsa?" - bozzha
"You failed to score against amateurs at Cape Town All Stars and you might fail to score against struggling SuperSport because the likes of Daniels and Gould will be gunning for you." - khosiological
Do you think that Brockie will bag a goal against his former club?
