SuperSport United Gavin Hunt has revealed what he asked defender Thatayaone Ditlhokwe after the player signed a pre-contract with Kaizer Chiefs.
Some players have previously been sidelined by clubs for signing pre-contracts, but SuperSport are making sure that their separation with Ditlhokwe will be a peaceful one. Hunt, however, had to ask Ditlhokwe an important question to ensure the Botswana national team captain will be committed to the club until the end of the season, before he makes the move to Naturena.

Hunt is not in favour of sidelining players who sign pre-contracts, but he wants to make sure that they remain committed to the cause, or else they are free to leave if they are not happy.
"I've won the league with players who have signed pre-contracts. I have had players at SuperSport... I had a player during my first year here, (Sibusiso) Mahlangu. He signed (a pre-contract) with Wits and I said to him 'are you going to play properly?' He was man of the match when we played against Wits," Hunt said to the Siya crew.

"A player should see out his contract. If he wants to leave, like (Iqraam) Rayners, we won't stand in the player's way. Then we do a deal. It's about knowing the player. If a player signs a pre-contract, you can only ask him if he wants to go. TT is a fantastic player and I asked him straight to his face; 'do you want to play or you want to go?' He said he wants to play here."
