During the DStv Premiership break while the Africa Cup of Nations is going on, former Kaizer Chiefs talisman Khama Billiat has been spotted training with SuperSport United, igniting speculation about his potential return to South African football soon.

His Zimbabwean teammate and SuperSport captain, Onismor Bhasera, has weighed in on the matter to Soccer Laduma, showering Billiat with praise and asserting that any team would be fortunate to have him in their ranks.
"It would be good to have Billiat in the team. We all know the capabilities of Khama. But I don't know what is going to happen. You know he can play for any team here in the PSL, or in Africa or even in Europe. If things work for us it will be a plus for the team. Any team would be lucky to have Khama in their team because of his quality," Bhasera told the Siya crew.
Bhasera went beyond mere admiration, claiming that no team could resist the allure of Billiat's talent. However, the question remains: does Billiat prefer SuperSport or did he always intend to pursue other options? Bhasera admits uncertainty on that front.
"No one. No one can say no to a player like Khama and his quality though he has been out for some time now. When he is fit he will give you what you want in the team and he will definitely deliver. He is a very good player and his experience is unmeasurable at all. We need that in the team," Bhasera concluded.
Bhasera's fervent praise for Billiat speaks volumes about the Zimbabwean's undeniable talent and experience. While his recent inactivity warrants caution, the allure of a fit and firing Billiat remains potent. Whether he wants to grace the Matsatsantsa colours or opts for another destination, one thing is certain: Billiat's future holds intrigue.
Lately, SuperSport United CEO Stan Matthews has stated that Billiat is only training with the club at the moment, throwing cold water on any kind of excitement that the forward could sign for them soon.
It is not clear whether Billiat wants to find a different club or whether SuperSport have decided not to sign the former Ajax Cape Town star.
