As previously reported by Soccer Laduma, Mamelodi sundowns are understood to be tracking SuperSport United's rising star, Shandre Campbell, but Downs legend Hlompho Kekana has encouraged the youngster to go to Europe than play locally.
But Sundowns and SuperSport are familiar foes, with numerous business done between the two clubs.
SuperSport lost break-out star Thapelo Maseko to Masandawana, while the likes of Ronwen Williams, Teboho Mokoena, Sipho Mbule have also joined the Brazilians.

Kekana believes that the DStv Diski Challenge graduate still needs to grow in his game.
"We talking about an 18-year-old, we can't give him that massive responsibility of lifting a team as massive as SuperSport," Kekana said on the Soccer Zone show.
"So, let's be honest, he still needs a lot of work to do in terms of his game, consistence and performance, if he wants to be amongst the best players," he continued.

Keke, who captained his former club to numerous honours domestically and on the continent, believes that Campbell has yet to reach his full potential and a move to Europe will help him.
"So, for me to be talking about him, I can talk about his performances and the things he does. I don't see him a complete player yet, so for me if he wants to improve, he must go overseas.
"That's where he is going to natured properly, not here at home because if he moves from SuperSport to Sundowns, he is still in the same league, Kekana explained.
