SuperSport United head coach Gavin Hunt has provided an update on the injury sustained by Bafana Bafana international Nyiko Mobbie in their midweek match against Lamontville Golden Arrows.
Mobbie hobbled off in the second half of their goalless draw, with fears that the injury could be serious for a player who is an integral part of both club and country.
The 28-year-old has been selected as part of Hugo Broos' preliminary 38-man squad to contest in the AFCON qualifiers against Uganda and South Sudan in November.
"It was a stud right through his foot," Hunt told Soccer Laduma after the match.

When asked whether the injury would rule the former Mamelodi Sundowns man out of Bafana Bafana's upcoming matches, Hunt says he expects Mobbie to be fit and ready.
"I don't think so. [He needs to] put some ice on that thing, strap it up and rest for a couple of days, he should be fine."
Hunt believes that the upcoming international break could be a blessing in disguise for his beleaguered side.
"For us the timing is good. We've had [Kaizer] Chiefs, [Orlando] Pirates and before that Sundowns, we've had one hell of a run. But it is what it is. We have Bradley Grobler back, We have [Ghamapani Lungu] back again, Vincent Pule will be back and these are massive players for us," he added.
