Hunt also praised Man of the Match Keenan Phillips, who only made his third appearance in the league this season
"He hasn't played the whole year the boy, he was out for so long, it's such a bity but he was fantastic, I had him from Wits, I let him come here when we sold out (status sold to Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila)," Hunt said on SuperSport TV.
"Great attitude, he had a bit of learning time in Cape Town. I know the boy well but anyway fantastic performance from everybody, Keenan included you know.
"When we played Stellenbosch, I told him you gonna play next week in two weeks time, not enough time but he was magnificent, everybody was," he said.
SuperSport now head into the final day of the season level points with Pirates, who were held to a 1-1 draw by Sekhukhune United.
When informed about Pirates dropping points against Sekhukhune, Hunt, added, "Oh, there you go, listen, nobody deserves any luck but if we work hard we'll get our dues and hopefully if it's not next week, next year maybe.
"As I said, with this group of players and we patched the team together, magnificent, credit to the board and everybody, really proud," he added.
