SuperSport United head coach Gavin Hunt has confirmed that a serious injury will see striker Bradley Grobler ruled out for a lengthy period ahead of the start of the campaign.

There were alarm signs when Grobler was substituted early in SuperSport's MTN8 match against Orlando Pirates in the opening week of the 2024/25 campaign, although it was thought that the decision to withdraw him was just a precautionary measure from the team.
However, it appears that the injury - which has not been specified - was worse than initially anticipated, with the 36-year-old expected to be sidelined for up to five months.
"No, Bradley will be out for I would think four to five months," Hunt told SuperSport.
"It's a serious injury, but it's a huge blow to us. We just wish him well and we wish he recovers well. He just had the surgery, I wish him well and hope he recovers from this injury," he added.
Grobler has scored 112 PSL goals in his career and is just 12 shy of becoming the league's all-time top goalscorer, although it appears that desire will take a backseat as he looks to his recovery in the coming months.
