Mamelodi Sundowns currently have a 21-point lead over second-placed Richards Bay and are edging closer to a sixth consecutive title. Even with the games in hand, Grobler has been honest enough to admit that there is no way Sundown can be be usurped before the end of the campaign.
"If we are being completely honest with each other, I think it's going to be extremely difficult for any team to catch them. We have to be honest, they are on a different level. Next season it will be a different story, but for now I can't see any team catching them," Grobler told the Siya crew.
At this stage, SuperSport are fighting to finish in position two or three, which would guarantee them football on the continent next season. Grobler believes that players are also fighting to secure their contracts for next season, so there is no reason for them to start slacking, even though Sundowns are running away with the title.
