Stellenbosch FC head coach Steve Barker heaped praise on new signing Ismael Toure and Antonio van Wyk after their win over Orlando Pirates.
The Western Cape outfit began their DStv Premiership campaign with an impressive 1-0 victory over the Soweto giants on Saturday evening.

Toure picked up the Man of the Match award on the debut for Stellies, with Barker claiming that performance is why they decided to secure the defender's services.
"Great performance, great attitude shown, I thought defensively, tactically we were spot on. If you look, the real chance they had was when they hit the post. Otherwise we were dangerous on transition but ja, very proud of the effort," Barker told SuperSport TV.
"Toure was very good today, that's why we brought him, a real quality centre-back. We've got to trust, we brought the centre-backs in and we've got to give them the opportunities. Sometimes fortune favours the brave.
Barker also revealed that he told Van Wyk that this will be his breakout season and he was happy he scored in the first game of the campaign.
"I was obviously happy. Antonio has worked really hard, he deserves the goal," he added.
"I told him before the game that this season is his season, it's his breakout season, so to get a goal like that, ja I've got to keep the celebration going."
