Having lost key players in Ashley Du Preez and Zitha Kwinika to Kaizer Chiefs, Stellenbosch goalkeeper Lee Langeveldt has revealed why the Cape Winelands outfit is not concerned about losing more players in future.

The conveyor belt of talent at Stellies is the reason the club does not necessarily fret when big teams poach some of their best players.
In recent times, Stellies have lost Iqraam Rayners To SuperSport United, Lelethu Skelem to Maritzburg, Kwinika and Du Preez to Chiefs and now clubs are circling the likes of Sibongiseni Mthethwa, who has attracted interest from Gauteng.
But the fact that clubs continue to circle their best players is of little concern to Langeveldt as the team continues to produce top talent season after season.
"Of course, we develop quality players but like the coach always says, if there's bigger teams that come for you, we won't stand in your way. That is because we are producing the next generation of quality footballers. So in a way, you want to keep your best players because you want to win things also, but if we keep on producing quality players then I don't have a problem with that [losing players]," Langeveldt told the Siya crew.
Asked about what the secret was to Stellies' continued success, the veteran goalkeeper pointed to the club's world-class structures.
"The secret, I must say is the structure we have in place. I think we have a quality structure and I think any academy or DDC [DStv Diski Challenge] should have. The coaching is top, the facilities, the nutrition, the gym.. all that plays a big role. I think that is also part of the reason why we are where we are now in the PSL.

"First season [we were] in the NFD, we won the league. Third season in the DDC, they won the league. It all comes down to the structures we have, the professionalism and the coaches, everything plays a major role," he concluded.
