Bay extended their unbeaten streak to five matches after holding Orlando Pirates to a goalless draw last weekend, having played the entire second-half with ten men.
The Natal Rich Boyz occupy second spot on the log, one point behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns and a victory will take them top of the log, although Sundowns will have two games in hand after their game.
Richards Bay will be without left-back Siyanda Msani due to suspension after he was sent off against Pirates seven days ago.
Maritzburg, meanwhile, will be looking to halt their losing streak after back-to-back losses against SuperSport United and Stellenbosch.
