The Brazilians claimed a ninth win in a row on Friday evening after goals from Cassius Mailula and Haashim Domingo secured a 2-0 win over Richards Bay FC.
The win over Richards Bay, coupled with SuperSport United's loss to Golden Arrows, saw Rulani Mokwena's side move ten points clear at the top of the standings.
Sundowns have won every league since Mokwena was appointed sole head coach by the club in October last year.
Chippa, meanwhile, will have their work cut out for them as they look to end a four-match winless in the league.
The Chilli Boys suffered a 2-0 loss to Swallows FC on Saturday just a few days after started the year with a 1-1 draw away to Stellenbosch.
The two sides have already met once this season, with Peter Shalulile netting a late winner at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in September.
