Chiefs' form of three consecutive wins was brought to a grinding halt after a 2-1 defeat to Chippa United on Saturday.
The Glamour Boys have slipped down to fifth on the table with 17 points, with only three points separating the top five teams.
Galaxy, meanwhile, extended their winless run to seven matches after playing to a goalless draw with Swallows almost two weeks ago.
The Rockets have not scored a goal in that seven-match run, as they dropped down to 11th on the table with 11 points.
Galaxy will have head coach Sead Ramovic back on the bench after he missed their last two matches attending personal issues in Europe.
The sides cancelled each other out last season with two goalless draws, although the Mpumalanga-based side had bragging rights after knocking Chiefs out of the Nedbank Cup in the first round.
