Following the chairman's vote of confidence, Komphela told the media that he has accepted the challenge and he has to deal with it. Komphela said he has his chairman's support, despite a disappointing start to their title defence, with the Glamour Boys currently sat fourth place on the PSL log, and that he feels encouraged by the club's management. "The reality is that there is support, and that is encouraging to have the support from the chairman," he said. "Now we have to work hard and get results." The former Maritzburg United coach further added that he is up for the challenge in this weekend's Soweto derby. "It's an acceptable challenge which means now we have to go out there and do the job starting this Saturday against Pirates," he concluded.
