The two giants of South African football will be hoping to improve their results and log standings at each other's expense in their game on Saturday.
With the two teams coming from losses in their previous games last weekend, both Eric Tinkler and Steve Komphela want to please their supporters by winning the Soweto Derby.
As the home team for the second round game between the two sides, Pirates confirmed yesterday that the match tickets have been selling fast.
More than 45 000 tickets had been sold by Tuesday afternoon. In a week that the Pirates chairman Irvin Khoza is celebrating his birthday (on January 27), football fans are expected to join him in the celebrations by attending the game in their numbers.
The PSL has confirmed that there have been less than 25 thousand tickets left by Wednesday afternoon.
"#AbsaPrem Ticket Update: There are just over 24 000 tickets left for the #SowetoDerby," the PSL tweeted.
