Orlando Pirates coach, Eric Tinkler, has admitted that the club may be looking to bring in new players before the transfer window closes later this afternoon.
Erasmus Joins French Ligue 1 Side
Oupa Manyisa has been suffering from an ankle injury since September, while Siyabonga Sangweni is facing a lengthy spell out after he was found to have a serious knee injury. Happy Jele has also injured his hip, despite being declared fit for last weekend's clash against Jomo Cosmos.
Tinkler told the Siya crew that the injuries could force his hand into bringing in players that will serve as cover for the key players. The Bucs mentor will also need to find a replacement for striker, Kermit Erasmus, who joined French side, Stade Rennais FC, last night.
The former Bafana Bafana international also refused to rule out the prospect of new faces at the club.
"It's true we have some injured defenders like Happy Jele and Siyabonga Sangweni and also Oupa (Manyisa) is still out injured," he said.
"We have other players who can fit in, but that doesn't mean we are ruling out the possibility of signing new players here and there. There are still a few hours left and anything can happen."
