On Wednesday, 17 May, Bidvest Wits continue with their title challenge as they face off against Polokwane City in a home encounter. This won't be an easy task for the Clever Boys as Rise and Shine are in good form and are looking to cement their spot in the top eight.

Cape Town City will host Golden Arrows in a league encounter, and the Mother City outfit are currently in third position with slim chances of winning the title, but will want to finish the season in the best possible position.

Mamelodi Sundowns will be hoping to beat Maritzburg United for a much-needed three points as they continue fighting to win the ABSA Premiership title.

Celta Vigo play host to Real Madrid on Wednesday evening. The away side are on joint points with Barcelona at the top of the La Liga standings, and will be hoping to move up to the No. 1 spot with a victory over Celta.

Southampton take on Manchester United in an EPL match, and the Red Devils are in desperate need of maximum points as they look to end their league campaign on a positive note.

Chippa United will face off against SuperSport United, and will be after a much-needed win as the Chilli Boys are 15th on the log.

Bidvest Wits v Polokwane City (Absa Premiership)

League rankings: Wits 1st Polokwane 6th

Useful facts: Wits aren't playing their best football, with their loss to Free State Stars last week being their second in four games. On the other hand, Polokwane City have four wins from their past five and their win over Kaizer Chiefs on the weekend shows they have what it takes when coming up against the so-called big teams. However, Rise and Shine have won just two in nine against the Students.

Kudakwashe Mahachi: Wits

Cape Town City v Golden Arrows (Absa Premiership)

League rankings: City 3rd Arrows 9th

Useful facts: While Arrows are fighting for a position in the top eight, the Citizens are hoping to cement their place in continental football next season. City have accumulated just seven points in their past five games, but Arrows have won just five points in that timeframe. Historically, including the results between Mpumalanga Black Aces and Arrows, it's split down the middle with four wins each and one draw from their last nine encounters.

Kudakwashe Mahachi: Obviously, us (Arrows). We'll make the top eight!

Mamelodi Sundowns v Maritzburg Utd (Absa Premiership)

League rankings: Sundowns 2nd Maritzburg 7th

Useful facts: Sundowns know that the title race will go down to the wire and anything but a win against Maritzburg, who they've beaten 12 times in their last 20 encounters, is vital as they go into this game two points behind Wits at the top of the table.

Kudakwashe Mahachi: Sundowns

Celta Vigo v Real Madrid (La Liga)

League rankings: Celta 13th Real Madrid 2nd

Useful facts: A postponed game that could ultimately decide the title race. If Real Madrid get anything less than a point, where this season's title ends up will be out of their hands. However, four wins from their past six matches against Celta make a loss seem very unlikely for Zinedine Zidane's men, especially considering that Celta are on a five-match losing streak in La Liga.

Kudakwashe Mahachi: Real Madrid

Southampton v Man Utd (Premier League)

League rankings: Southampton 9th Man Utd 6th

Useful facts: The Red Devils' hopes of finishing in the top four this season are over, and this game will merely form part of their preparations for the Europa League final. However, Southampton's place in the top half of the log will be under threat. United have won four of their past six against their opponents and have won seven of their last eight away matches, so they'll be confident of coming away with their heads held high.

Kudakwashe Mahachi: Manchester

Chippa Utd v SuperSport Utd (Absa Premiership)

League rankings: Chippa 15th SuperSport 4th

Useful facts: Depending on other results, Chippa could be condemned to relegation in this game against a tough opponent that they've failed to beat in any of their past seven encounters. SuperSport are also unbeaten in five, which means this could be the rubber stamp on a season that could see the Chilli Boys play in the relegation play-off or even suffer automatic relegation, with bottom-of-the-table Baroka level on points with them.

Kudakwashe Mahachi: I'll go for SuperSport
