With Kaizer Chiefs aiming to make it two wins in a row as they prepare to visit Mamelodi Sundowns, the club's former midfielder is backing Arthur Zwane and his charges.
Chiefs come from a convincing 3-0 victory over Maritzburg United in their previous match and are oozing with confidence, while Sundowns were humbled by TS Galaxy in their fixture on Wednesday.
With Amakhosi set for a short trip to the Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Saturday to face the defending champions, former midfielder Humphrey Mlwane believes that the Soweto giants could cause further upset to their rivals.
"It is a tough for both teams, but I think Chiefs might have an upper hand based on the two teams' results so far in the new season. The team has showed improvement and I have been convinced in how they played in the last two games," said Mlwane.
"But Sundowns has a way of always causing problems for Chiefs, and Chiefs cannot bank on previous results and will still need to do the job. It is going to be tough and a difficult one for one to put his head on the block and predict a result. But if Chiefs can use their quick passing and the speed that they have showed in the past two games, I think they can get something out of the game," he said.
Depending on the finalisation of the player's paperwork, Chiefs could unleash their latest signing Edmilson Dove for his official debut against Downs.
