A young student has been arrested in Tokyo for making threats to Konami's Japan headquarters over Pro Evolution Soccer (PES).
The story was covered by Yomiuri and Kotaku, and revealed that a high school student was the suspect of multiple bomb threats to Konami's headquarters in June.
It is alleged that the threats were done through the user reviews section of the PES mobile game on an online app store.
The reports claim that the suspect wrote in their reviews, "I'm going to blow up Konami's headquarters" and "I'm going to kill the people who work at Konami."
After the student had been arrested, the reports claim that the suspect admitted to the threats and blamed their anger at the company over a bug in the PES mobile game that made him lose.
There has still been no substantial news for football fans looking information on PES 2021, and it remains to be seen how they will react to EA SPORTS FIFA 21, following the next gen teaser revealed by Electronic Arts.
