The online battles in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone were already intense, but the fourth season is looking to take things up a notch.
The new update launching today (30 June 2020) is called Season Four: Reloaded, and the biggest change is the limited-time 200-player mode!
This means that matches will allow 50 teams of four players each to run riot in Verdansk in the Battle Royale Quads mode.
This is not the only change, of course, as there will also be new in-match contracts which are called Supply Run Contracts. This allows players to get a Buy Station discount if they can get to the nearest Buy Station in a specific time.
A new Spotter Scope will also be available, and allows players to scan the environment and mark enemies without being detected. This item is also re-usable.
Warzone is also getting a Juggernaut Royal mode, which boasts a Juggernaut Suit being dropped during play. Those who get to it first will be able to use the devastating mini-gun, but if you find yourself in the Gulag, the suit will be dropped again for the remaining players in the match.
In Modern Warfare, players will gain access to the new Cheshire Park map, which is an urban space in London. Team Defender mode also makes a return, and sees players battle it out to capture and hold onto a flag to secure points.
The last addition is the Rytec AMR sniper rifle, which Activision call "one of the deadliest semi-automatic anti-material rifles" that a player can get their hands on.
The size of this update is between 22GB and 30GB for Warzone players, and 22GB-36GB for Modern Warfare players.
